
| Zachary Franczak (Tommy) is a seasoned actor and singer with over 12 years of experience in the theatre. Recent credits include Schroeder (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown) and Tony (West Side Story). Having attended both the Marin School of the Arts for Musical Theatre and Santa Rosa Junior College for Theatre, Zachary continues his rigorous training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, working towards a BM in Vocal Performance. He’s thrilled for The Who’s Tommy! |  | Emily Wade Adams (Mrs. Walker) is an active member of SF’s music scene. She is the lead singer of The Midnight Sessions (www.myspace.com/themidnightsessions), a local jazz band. From 2004-2007, she sang soprano with the SF Symphony Chorus. Love to my Boggs! xoxo |  | Paul Plain (Uncle Ernie), a veteran Bay Area producer, director, actor, singer and educator, is thrilled to be returning to ROLT after directing stunningly successful SF and the East Bay premieres of Disney's High School Musical. Recent local appearances include On the Town, Spitfire Grill and Bat Boy (serving as both co- director and playing kooky Dr. Parker). Paul has been seen in the West Coast premiere of Evil Dead the Musical, the Shelly award-winner Falsettoland and National Tours of both Camelot (w/Robert Goulet) and Grease (w/Sam Harris). Paul runs his own theatre company, is a personal acting and life coach and is currently authoring a new farce about local theatre, I Fell In (staged reading in 2010). For Robert and Jeanne. |  | Deucalion Martin (Tommy, age 4) is making his theatrical debut and is very excited that it is with ROLT (although he won’t show his excitement on stage). At home, Deucalion entertains his parents with renditions of Spiderman and Star Wars, and can hum just about any superhero theme you can name. Previous roles include Jason in Falsettos (Theatre Rhino), Benny Franklin Bache in Ben Franklin in Paris (42nd Street Moon), Jo Jo in Seussical (Woodminster Summer Musicals), Candlewick in Pinocchio (San Ramon Community Theater), Franklin Roosevelt Jr. in Sunrise at Campobello (Willows Theatre), Oliver in Oliver! (Douglas Morrisson Theatre) and Winthrop in The Music Man (Diablo Light Opera Company). David has also worked in commercials and on print ads. He appeared in the movie MILK and recently wrapped another called My Name is Khan, releasing in February 2010. He is in 8th grade and enjoys tennis, cello, oboe and theater. | | | |  | Deirdre Ashby (Nurse/Ensemble) is very excited to be working with Ray of Light Theatre again! She last appeared with ROLT in the 2004 Broadway Gala. Deirdre recently appeared as Diana Morales in Tri-Valley Rep's production of A Chorus Line. She also loves sketch comedy and improv, and has appeared in several productions with Impact Theatre and Funny But Mean. During the day, Deirdre teaches 4th grade in Oakland. She received her BA in Dance at the University of Maryland and has performed in works by Dan Wagoner, Doug Nielson, Maurice Fraga, Alvin Mayes and Melissa Saint Amour. Talia was a core company dancer for the interdisciplinary music, theater and dance company Arts United of Washington from 2003-2007. From 2007-2009 she performed with the Ann Arbor-based modern dance company, People Dancing, and has just relocated to San Francisco. Some of her favorite roles have been Sally Simpson, Chiffon, Sheila and Mary Magdalene. Off-stage, Amanda can be found producing shows with her theatre company, Beards Beards Beards: A Theatre Company, or being Communications Director for The Mountain Play Association in Mill Valley. |  | Joshua Fryvecind (Lover/Hawker/Mr. Simpson/Ensemble/Walker & Ernie Understudy) is thrilled to be performing alongside his son, Deucalion, who plays four-year-old Tommy. They live in San Francisco with beautiful wife and mother Mia, also a ROLT vet. Joshua first appeared with ROLT in their first-ever show playing the title role in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown back in 2002. For the last seven years he has played Bono in over 300 appearances with the award-winning U2 tribute band Zoo Station.
