This summer, young actors will mount a musical production in just 9 days. They will work with experienced directors and actors from Ray of Light's successful productions and will learn the fundamentals of theatre, both onstage and off.

Who:
The program is open to all Bay Area students entering grades 3-9.

What:
Ray of Light Theatre Jr. (ROLT Jr.) is a children's summer theatre program entering its seventh successful year. It is a two-week intensive musical theatre workshop for children, drawing on the talent experience of members of the ROLT community. It is an immersive program, where your children receive hands-on experience in the many aspects of producing a show: Not only singing, dancing and acting, but also set design, construction and stage management. Our program emphasizes creativity, collaboration and fun. At the end of the two week session, students present a musical performance that is, in many ways, their very own.

When:
June 30-July 11, 2008

Where:
Phoenix Theatre in Union Square, San Francisco
